The entire school was envisioned as interlocking blocks around a central courtyard. The expansion and contraction of the blocks allowed the generation of spaces. Special consideration was given to developing facade details facing southern and western sides to avoid sun exposure and glare.

The central courtyard served not just as a recreational space but also provided the central access to the building. The gradually descending courtyard allowed the central space to open up to an open air auditorium.
